8.5/10 Overall: a beautiful location with an intimate ambiance. The service was great and the food was super delicious. We ordered a dozen raw oysters for our appetizer, some which were a little small in my opinion, but it paired perfectly with the vinegar and spicy sauce that they gave us. Their menu changes seasonally! For our mains, we ordered the NY Strip, Halibut, Whole Lobster, and Diver Scallops. Halibut $41: 4/5 the fish was perfectly cooked and came with a creamy sauce with heirloom tomatoes and fennel. The fish was a little on the dry side though so I really had to coat it in the sauce to cancel out the dryness. I really enjoyed the flavor and thickness of the sauce. Diver Scallops $42: 4/5 this was the dish our waiter recommended to us! The texture of the scallops were perfect but they were on the salty side. Three scallops were paired with sweet corn, leeks, and smoked bacon which were seasoned perfectly and paired well with the scallops. NY Strip $62: 4.5/5 the meat was super tender and had a sweet flavor which went nice with the sauce. The steak was very juicy and cooked at a perfect medium. It was overall delicious! Whole lobster $48: 4.2/5 lobster was cooked well and was easy to eat. I wish it was more tender and i wish the lobster was a bit bigger. The lobster came with a grilled lemon which gave the lobster the perfect flavor balance and brioche crumbs which gave it a crunch.

Had a great experience! Our bartender was personable, the bar was relaxing and not busy. Upscale but not pretentious. A nice reprieve for us indeed.

We had a large business group gathering at Carmel! The service was great and the ambiance was nice. The menu was fixed but all the dishes were well presented, perfectly cooked, and most of all delicious. The team did a phenomenal job serving all of us. I'll be definitely be back on my own.

I've dined at Carmel in Atlanta twice now, and on both occasions, I've left thoroughly pleased. Last night, I visited with my husband and mom, and despite the slow start to the evening, the restaurant soon picked up. Our server was a standout, catering to our needs with expertise and even accommodating my dairy-free requirements with grace. We indulged in a variety of starters, including the flavorful ceviche with snapper and shrimp, and the pork belly tacos that packed a spicy punch. The bibb salad was a refreshing delight with its lightness and unique touches like jicama and dill. For mains, the perfectly cooked scallops stole the show, while the red snapper unfortunately missed the mark with its overcooked and fishy taste. However, the sides of glazed carrots and fried sweet potato wedges were undeniable hits. We rounded off the meal with the decadent chocolate ganache dessert. The atmosphere at Carmel is lovely, with enjoyable music setting the mood. Despite the initial quietness, the exceptional service and (mostly) consistently delicious food make Carmel a must-visit spot in Atlanta. I also had a fantastic experience during my previous visit, particularly enjoying the octopus appetizer and chicken entrée.

This place has a beautiful aesthetic and honestly the brunch was genuinely really good! I had heard mixed things but I was pleasantly surprised. A must have is the milk buns. I could eat those forever. The lobster scramble was super tasty and rich with flavor. Their drinks were refreshing and overall paired very well. The service is great. Came here with a big party and it all went smoothly. One thing is that parking validation only works if you're there for two hours or less.
